God is in control ..

It’s 4:00, and I just got a call from my hubby at work.  He was distraught when I answered and trying to get himself together.  He just received a call from his dad in Pinetop … his step-mom, Bev, had a heart attack around 3:00 this afternoon.  They lost her 2 times and had to revive her.  It was really touchy there for a bit, and I guess now she is stabilized and the update was they lost her a 3rd time, but she’s back conscious again.  Praise God!  I am sad, but I truly know that God is in control of this.  We know He has a plan for everything and will give us strength thru whatever the outcome.   We are smothering Bev in prayer right now.  She is an amazing follower of Christ and is a  dynamic prayer warrior herself …. We love you Bev and are praying!!!!!  You are such a strong lady!

Michigan Trip

Surprise Mom!  My dad called me 2 weeks before my mom’s 60th birthday and wanted to give my mom something she would NEVER forget for her 60th birthday.  ME!  My dad flew me back to Michigan on Sept. 17th and that night surprised her at the restuarant by serving her a glass of wine at the table.  Mom looked up as to say “thank you”… and there I stood!  She was speechless for 5 seconds… staring at me…. maybe not sure if this gal looked like her daughter, or what???  It was the best surprise and definitely not something she was expecting!  My mom is so cute … a few minutes later she asked where the grandkids were?  She kept thinking they too were gonna walk in the door!  :)   Sorry mom … all you got is me!!!  As we laugh and she’s elated that I’m actually THERE!  I love you Mom!!!!  I was so happy to be part of your special day for 3 days, 2500 miles away!

My cousin Shelly and I (pictured) recently re-united several years ago, after not seeing each other since 1985 in family trips to Michigan.  (yes I was about 14 then).  She is amazingly beautiful inside & out.  The love of the Lord just flows out of her in everything she says and does.  I was given the biggest welcome from her when I arrived in Michigan to surprise my mom.  She was screaming my name when she saw me and just had the hugest smile!  All of my family in Michigan is so warming, and welcoming. I am truly blessed!  Now that my parents live in Michigan I am fortunate to be able to go back there when I can to see them and the rest of the extended family.  Like I said, it had been 20 years since I had seen my cousin Shelly!!  Lots of thanks to my Michigan Family for being so sweet and warm when all of us from AZ come!!  We love you all!

Meet our family

Jamie Kristen Kevin Maddie

Jamie and I met on Match.com in 2001! ... yes!... a success story online! We married in May 2002, had our house built in Gilbert, moved in July 2002. Kevin, my son, at the time was 7 yrs old was so excited to live in a neighborhood where he could ride his bike to school and met some great friends on our street. The best part for him was having a swimming pool in our own backyard. Many fun birthdays took place there! Madison Grace was born June 7, 2004. Kevin had been an only child for 10 yrs ... so this was a bit of an adjustment, but one he was super proud of, and it was instant love at first sight with his little sister, Maddie. She looks up to her big brother in so many ways, and wants to be wherever he's at! Even though they are 10 yrs apart - I truly believe there will continue to be a very close bond with them, even as they get older. My kids are both compassionate, sensitive, funny, loving, and content. We are truly blessed. Jamie has taken the roll of step-dad, and dad very well and is a great, devoted, hard-working dad and husband! He keeps us all inline! :) God has blessed us in so many ways, and we have so many wonderful friends whom we call "family". It all started when we found Rock Point church! It's a place we call home and are SO thankful for what God is doing in our life and the lives of our closest friends! He is amazing and we can't imagine our life without the Lord as the center! You want joy? You want peace that passes all understanding? You want eternal life? You want unconditional love that cannot be explained? It can be found in a relationship with Jesus!!! :)
